YCNYC: Favorite quote?
SO: At the beginning of every chapter she quotes folks, from people in her life to celebs. The best one was Dolly Parton, "I'm not offended by all the dumb blonde jokes because I know I'm not dumb—and I also know that I'm not blonde." I loved that!
YCNYC: What one person would you recommend this book to?
SO: Anyone with a pulse or who has ever had a shitty thought about themselves or anyone else.
YCNYC: What moment or part resonates with you the most?
SO: She talks about how we make up all kinds of stories about ourselves and other people, and she basically asks, if that is what we are up to, why are we making up and believing crappy ones? Love yo'self!
