It's Turban Day in Times Square on April 15.
The purpose of the event is to promote and educate about the Sikh religion and Identity. In 2016, the Turban Day was held for the first time in Times Square, NYC. More than 3,000 turbans were tied in an effort to expand awareness about the Sikh turban and culture.
